** Breaking News** - Echo V Various End Users Lawsuits
Echo has started to file lawsuits against end users. They used sales records as evidence that authorities seized on a criminal raid on Charles Groome from Texas. Groome also was sued by Echo and had a sumarry judgment entered against him in March 2010 along with a permanent injunction. I suspect there will be more filings to come.

Dontcha remember? This will never happen, they'll NEVER go after end users. They'll only sue people with over $10,000 in income.

Talk about dumb. The dealer preprogrammed the receivers and the customers paid over $1,000 for them. One even paid an additional $125 for an update. Some people! Also they all were subs and cancelled right after the purchase. They might of had a chance if they never had a sub.

These appear to be local sales and a far cry from buying an unmodded FTA box off the internet.

True Hondo so true.
When i started 10+ years ago this was a hobby it was never about free tv it was a bunch of friends helping each other and having fun sticking it to big business.
And i spent thousands to play in this hobby over the years and if it was still the same as it was i would most likely spend more to play.
But it is stupid to spend a thousand + for an FTA unit to hook to the internet for tv that is just asking for trouble.
Then this hobby grew into a big money making business for some and it all went to sh*t real quick and was about cheap tv not friends playing in a hobby having fun.
I am with GS2 there are going to be more and they are going to make examples out of them.
It always surprises me how much people will spend when they think they are getting something for free.
And in the end it will cost them ten's of thousands more in lawyer fee's to get clear of this mess just for tv.
