For one he is the first website we know of in Canada that was forced off line for its content although we also know there was several other reasons for it as well

Daryl runs the website Pirates Den and has for some time. He is also very good friends with all the other convicted pirates friend Gunsmoke2 and Reginald Scullion aka TTRK aka Vchipher.

Risestar was slapped with an Anton Pillar order and his site was seized. DTV was granted a complete copy of the harddrives that were owned by Risestar and copies of any type of documents in his home that could be construed as hacking related. In short DTV had everything they needed from Risestar to go after Den members and also got a court order restraining Risestar from having hacking content on his site.

Over a course of a year since the june 2003 raid DTV and Risestar negotiated a private settlement in which part of it he was to terminate Freedom Fight.ca and to cease posting any information to assist others in fighting DTV in court or to discuss hacking of DTV products ever again. He was also forced to make a monetary payment to them as well that im sure reflected a portion of the money he made from piracy over the years.



What was found to be most interesting about Risestar aka Daryl Gray is that in court documents found that Risestar actually contacted DTV's lawyers 2 years prior in hopes of getting them to sue Hack HU another pirate site which was Risestars biggest enemy and competition at the time. I wonder how many of his members knew that for two years he was chit chatting with DTV lawyers talking about who knows what.He even tUrned his member's in to DTV and got most of them BUSTED!!!
