NCN reminds me a lot of DCN, man remember how much shit people used to talk on there? Other sites would bash it all kinds, but in the end... It was the most popular site in it's catagory and it had shitloads of traffic.

I think the whole anti-ncn thing from many people might just bring back the old beloved feeling of the good old DCN days.

Not sure about that NewCard. DCN didn't inflate their so called "Current Active Online Members" to make everyone think there is that many people online when there is only 12 actually logged in. Try this everyone, log off, clear your browser cookies and log back on here atNCN at gee, still logged in?? YES and for hours you will be logged in. Thie useless babble by you webguy is totally unfounded. The cookies on this board are set to a reasonable time. The only reason we have so many people online is because they like to read and lurk.

We also are known to email millions of people on a regular basis, something that could contriubute to the count a little.


Go ahead and log out now webguy, then call a friend and ask him to log in with his own username. Ask him if he still sees you logged in. You will see that what you say is bullshit propaganda man, we do not fake anything over here, especially not our traffic.

LMAO…………. I was amazed (well not really) when my buddy had logged in to find that I was logged on also! :confused: He called me into the office to show me. Shortly afterwords he logged out and i logged in . At least it did not show him logged on.:eek:

Thats what I was trying to prove to webguy and you just did it.

When you log out, and then log in with a different nic from another computer, you will not show the old nic as still logged in.

Maybe I did not explain myself correctly. My buddy logged in and was totally surprised to see that I was logged on also. Yet, I was NOT logged on! Still it showed that I was. I saw that I was logged on with my own eyes! I had not logged on sense the day before!

I think that’s what Webguy has been trying to prove to you ROTFLMFAO!

See the whole point is questions were asked, some asked them in a rude manor some asked politely yet you never really gave an answer. Personally I was looking forward to stopping in often to read the news. I thought you had a refreshing idea, an idea that the dss community could appreciate. But all I see is inaccuracy and name calling. I never put anyone down nor called anyone a name I have been as polite as a new guest should be. But even after that I have received insults.
Hey if you want to have ghost members or adjust the settings so it looks like more members are logged on that fine. It’s a new site it make one think it a hopping place go for it! If you want to send out mass emails and spam people that’s fine to lots of others do it. But when you are asked questions its only common courtesy to at least answer. There is no need to get hostile with people. You can shoot your mouth off to some people and get it back then think you have the upper hand because they keep coming back. Well they come back only because they enjoy the bickering themselves. After it gets old they will stop too.

billybats, this is the dss pirate scene, this shit never gets old, you should know that by now.

I can keep on pumping out sites like this and there will always be a shitload of people that flock to them, thanks to spam and all those client email lists.

This is the easiest industry to gain a sweet traffic ranking and popularity. Just take a look around even the most useless and amature looking sites still get traffic and new members signing up every day, heck I should know, I personally own a big handfull websites, all of them keep on getting new members daily.

You want serious talk, I will give it to you, this scene has it's primary people in it, all those sites you see out there, do not be fooled into thinking thei are all owned by different people, there are only a few key people out there who are behing the majority of all the sites.

From my point of view, this latest baby of mine has only been running for about a month and so far, a few thousand members have joined, I am giving them what they want, the latest news, headlines, contraversy, all reasons to keep on comming back. I gave up on most of the other sites because the mods just take care of them, no need to keep on meddling with them.

The whole point of NCN is to revive a dead community, give them what they are missing and try to provide them with everything that they are missing from other sites. We are breaking the standards here and not to mention, not charging a penny for it. All the bandwith, fast downloads, fieldwork, research servers, mailings, all come out of my pocket. I don't need anyone's money, if they think at one point that this site is providing them with what they really want and need then they will have the option of paying a very small fee of $25 for a full year of premium access.

As it is for now and until the final end, this site is and will always be free to the general public and it will have premium features that people can pay for by choice, but do not have to.

This is a business here, and obviously you and many other people think that you are not leeching enough off of the site so you feel the need to bring up really stupid issues like user count and whatever else only an envoius businessman would approach. It is as if I would go on maestra or sattech and start bitching at them cause they get a shitload of traffic and people lurk over there big time to get info and files for bev and dish hacking. Those both businessmen are smart and know damn well how to run a business and keep it running strong. It took them both many many months to even get popular, but they worked fucking hard to get up there and they also know that they are taking major risks to be there by te nature of the content of their sites.

NCN is built on a business model of contraversy, and it sells no matter how amature some people's way of thinking is, contraversial content anywhere on the web gets attention.

Most of you might even think that WebGuy is a real Person who hates us here, Well, I know I fooled all of you on that one :)

Well, I would suggest you do start up all those sites, because this one sucks. If and when you start all these "New" sites, please make sure your Mod's are educated. It really is hard to read their posts with all the miss-spellings and grammar errors. :(

I don't think it is a good idea either sending in all your info to NCN. If what everyone has been saying NCD is Lackman ....
