The Senate unanimously passed the "Pirate Act" on Friday and forwarded it to the House of Representatives for approval. The Pirate Act is intended to give the Justice Department the ability to file civil lawsuits against those who infringe copyrights, collecting between tens and hundreds of thousands of U.S. dollars in fines.
